Queen at Sea

Amanda finds herself caught in a family crisis involving her mother, Leslie, who has advanced dementia, and her stepfather, Martin, who has cared for her for years. When Amanda questions her mother’s ability to make decisions and give informed consent, their conflicting views lead to police involvement and institutional scrutiny. As tensions escalate, the family must confront difficult questions about love, caregiving, personal autonomy, and the limits of protecting someone who can no longer fully speak for herself.
